Falkirk Council is helping residents stay connected by offering free mobile data to those struggling with internet costs. Through its Digital Inclusion Project, the council is providing free Vodafone SIM cards with a six-month contract at no cost to eligible individuals and families.

Each SIM card includes unlimited calls and texts, along with 40 GB of data per month. The SIM can be used in a smartphone or a device delivering a wi-fi hotspot. The latter would allow multiple devices, such as laptops and tablets, to access the internet.

Residents interested in applying can visit the Council’s Advice and Support Hubs or speak to Falkirk Council library staff. More information is also available by emailing digital.inclusion@falkirk.gov.uk.
