The annual Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema – or Hippfest – is making a plea for volunteers.
In a Facebook post, the Bo’ness venue said: “Each year we welcome a team of volunteers with many different qualities and skills to help us deliver our busy programme of events . . . Want to take part?”
In return for donating their time, volunteers are being promised:
- hands-on experience working in a cinema
- the chance to meet new people and be part of a team
- a HippFest 2026 Festival T-shirt
- travel expenses to and from Bo’ness
- snacks and drinks “on-shift”
- the chance to see great HippFest films free of charge.
The deadline for applications is noon on Monday 2 February 2026. The main festival events take place each March.
